The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman Steven Patton.

URBAN COUNTY PROGRAMS

Mr. Himes said a resident recently was interested in the housing rehabilitation loan program, which is administered through the Cuyahoga County Department of Development. The resident had gone through all of the effort to apply and was ready to join on when he found out that the Village was not a member of the Urban County’s requirement to participate in that program or for our residents to participate in that program.

Mr. Himes said they did talk about this in 2003; the storefront rehabilitation program, which is also administered by the Cuyahoga County Department of Development.

Representatives from the Cuyahoga County Department of Development explained the Urban County Programs to the Committee. Comments were heard and questions were answered.

Mr. Patton said they will discuss this further before any action is taken.
