Television Recycling

City Service Departments:

In light of today's transition to digital TV, I am providing you with a list of area television recyclers. You will undoubtably have some residents looking to dispose of a television in the near future.

While there is no law or regulation preventing residents from placing a television in the regular rubbish, recycling options do exist. If they choose to recycle, there is a cost for this type of service. A list of options, and a link to the list on our website, is included with this e-mail.

We still have no plans to conduct a television collection event. The cost would be prohibitive. Also notice that RET3 is not on the television recycling list. Their non-profit status makes them a poor candidate to provide this expensive service.

SEEING THE CLEAR PICTURE... TELEVISION DISPOSAL IN CUYAHOGA COUNTY

Television recycling is not a free service in Cuyahoga County. County-sponsored collection events are not held for televisions, and they cannot be included with your municipality's free computer recycling program.
