The Charter provides for Council to, by ordinance, provide for the employment of a Municipal Engineer. The Engineer is appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by a majority vote of all members of Council.
The Municipal Engineer must be a registered professional engineer in the State of Ohio, performs such duties as may be prescribed by Council, and shall receive such compensation by fees or salary, or both, as may be provided by ordinance of Council.
